Our Vision is to have the finest Board Certified, competent Medical Doctors of all available specialties in the State of Baja California available to fulfill your medical needs. Before you see a Doctor listed in BajaMedical.info we do a thorough background check to ensure our visitors that the specialties proclaimed by these Doctors are actually, those specialties in which they are certified to practice.
We check all certifications and degrees for validity and we make sure all doctors are constantly up to date in their respective fields. All doctors must be Board Certified and must have at least fifteen years of experience practicing medicine. It sounds simple enough, but it´s no easy task. The State of Baja California is one of the most important States in Mexico, it's proximity with the United States, and it's Golden State of California, is a key attraction for professionals to migrate from other Mexican States to this thriving Medical Tourism State of Baja California, and this translates to having manny Doctors who migrate from other states within Mexico to this beautiful State of Baja.
Mexico has very different laws than those in the U.S. for medical practice regulation. Although Mexican Doctors are generally very well prepared and trained, and amongst the best in the world, a number of those doctors practice specialties that they are not board certified on, or not properly trained.
Our Mission is to filter out those shady medical practices and doctors and present a list of medical professionals that not only are Certified by their peers, but also excel in their specialties to a degree that they are the undisputed best of the best. These checks are performed periodically not only to their files, but also within their practices, performing surprise visits by our unknown patient which we call "Quality Assurance Patient".
We have an open forum so our visitors can post their questions or if they have a complaint, we may be able to help them and orient them as to how to go about handling those situations.
If we receive a complaint of one of our listed Doctors, we open up a trouble ticket and perform a through investigation into the allegation, we mediate with the patient and the medical practice or doctor and help resolve the situation. If we find the Doctor or Practice is at fault, first and foremost we tell the patient the severity of the situation so he can decide what measures to take, we then notify the Doctor or practice that they will not be listed under BajaMedical.info, further more, they go into a black list, on which depending on the severity of the fault, they can be listed for a period of 6 to 12 months all the way up to 5 years. After that period is over, we initiate an investigation to look for other faults. Only if we find that no complaints have been posted elsewhere, do we consider reinstating. The main objective of this program, is to offer only the finest medical facilities, doctors and Health Care Providers to the public with a non biased approach. Our interests lie with patients, who are looking for a health care alternative to save money and have high quality medical care.
